Lorde recently performed her ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1’ inspired track, ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Not only did she write ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ for the album, but she also curated the soundtrack as well. She hand selected tracks and artists which she thought best represented the movie.
Lorde is currently hard at work in the studio. The 18-year-old mega star is set to release a new album in early 2015.
‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1’ opened last Friday in theaters and the film made history by opening at $155 million at the domestic box office according to Yahoo Movies (yahoo.com/movies). That is the third-best debut of all time.
